Available practice: 76 of 80 marks. Parts 10(c) await marking support. Scores cover available parts only. Theory: answer each printed part. For drawings, upload a clear photo of your sketch on the supplied figure; show working and units for calculations.

Fig. 6.1 shows a circuit containing a filament lamp, a resistor R, a 12 V battery and five meters.

(a)(i)In Fig. 6.1 ammeter A₁ reads 0.25 A and voltmeter V₁ reads 3.0 V. Determine readings on A₂, A₃ and V₂.

Answer guidance

Determine Work it out from what you are given or from the figure, and show how you got there.

[2 marks]

(a)(ii)Using Fig. 6.1 and those meter readings, calculate resistance R.

Answer guidance

Using You must use the thing it names. An answer that reaches the right value another way may not score.

[2 marks]

(a)(iii)Resistor R obeys Ohm’s law. State Ohm’s law.

Answer guidance

State A short answer. No explanation is needed, and adding one cannot earn extra marks.
